Hi everyone! This year we are taking part in the Blue Star SESE programme. According to their website this is " an education initiative for primary school pupils across Ireland. The idea of the Programme is simple: to foster better understanding and knowledge of the European Union and how it affects the lives of Irish citizens among primary pupils through classroom projects and activities." Here is a link to the website for anyone who would like to take a further look: http://www.bluestarprogramme.ie/about/ After learning some new information about Europe and the European Union, we split into groups and researched and prepared projects based on various EU countries. We are really enjoying the month of April. The weather has gotten much better and we even got to eat our lunch as a picnic outside one day: On the 23rd of April we went to the library for an eco workshop as this week is eco week. We made 'seed bombs'. It was great fun! We have also started to go swimming in the community centre.
